State Government
The Education and Training Export Consortium(ETEC) was launched as a public private partnership between the Riverside Center for International Trade and US Department of Commerce to address the lack of formal assistance available to education and training providers in the State of California. Launched in 2003, ETEC is now acknowledged as the primary consortia for California higher education providers by both major industry associations www.nafsa.org and governmental agencies such as the U.S. Commercial Service www.buyusa.gov and California Community College s Workforce and Economic and Workforce Development www.cccco.edu.
- Services provided include:
- Customized assistance and support to California Higher Education providers seeking to expand international student recruitment into new markets overseas
- Collaboration on joint grant applications
ETEC recently partnered with the Calfiornia Community College Systems Office on a winning grant application to administrate the State Department’s Egypt Community College Initative that will fund 150 Egyptian Students for 1 year training at various host colleges throughout the State of California.
- Coordinating outbound promotions under a unified California Brand
- Collaboration on joint grant application; CA ETEC is currently a cooperative partner with the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the California Community College Systems Office in the administration of the CA CCI Egypt project.
